ABOUT THE BANK
Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore District Co-operative Central Bank Ltd., Nellore, was registered and started its functioning from 10-01-1918 having a long cherished history of 91 years serving the poor peasants and rural artisans in the District. The area of the operation of the Bank extends to 3 Revenue Divisions covering 46 Revenue Mandals of the District. The Bank is providing Financial Assistance through 79 PACS affiliated to the Bank and 348 other type of Societies through the network of 15 Branches.
TOPOGRAPHY OF THE DISTRICT
The District is having 13075 Sq. Kilometers with a population of 26,68,564. The District is situated between Bay of Bengal located on the East, Chittoor District with part of Tamilnadu State on the South, Prakasam District on the North and Kadapa District on the West side. The landed area comprises 13,07,600 ha. with 2,37,363 ha. under perinial irrigation facility. The farmers in the area of the east and part of the District. The Western area of the District depends on monsoon only.
